Biberfest 2025: Eschlböck Biber wood chippers in Rheinau

On October 10, 2025, we celebrated the Rheinau Biberfest in bright sunshine as part of the opening of our new company location on the German-French border. 

The management team, Reinhard, Eva, and Alexander, warmly welcomed the invited guests from Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Austria and invited them to celebrate together at the new branch location and to engage in an informative exchange within the biomass industry. 

After a personal welcome address to the guests by the deputy mayor of Rheinau, Mr. Reinhold Schmidt, the secretary general of Bioenergy Europe, Mr. Jean-Marc Jossart, emphasized the importance of biomass in the region and in Europe in his speech. In his presentation, CEO Alexander Eschlböck-Kumschier introduced the family-owned company Eschlböck, its products, and its expertise. He emphasized the abundance of forests and the increasing timber reserves in Austria, southern Germany, and France, which contribute significantly to the energy transition and basic security. 

Catholic priest Joseph Korattiyil and Protestant pastor Harald Kratzeisen said an ecumenical blessing and blessed the new buildings.

The Prambachkirchen market band provided musical accompaniment for our celebration, and in a festive ceremony, the children Elisabeth, Alexander, and Stefan, the fourth generation after the founding father, cut a red ribbon before the hacker demonstrations, the highlight of every Biberfest, began.
